MTU Onsite Energy, 50 Hertz, diesel gensets, series 1600
MTU Onsite Energy introduced two new diesel-powered system series for the lower power range operating at 50 Hertz. The gensets that produce between 30 and 85 kVA are based on a 4-cylinder inline engine from Iveco. Gensets with MTU Series 1600 units are available for outputs from around 265 to 665 kVA.
The comprehensive basic scope of supply for both system series includes, for example, the control system for operation, manual protective circuit breakers, acoustic dampers for noise reduction, starter batteries and a diesel tank integrated in the base frame. Other options available from MTU Onsite Energy are an acoustic hood, enhanced acoustic dampers and several different control variants.
A large part of the power generation market is made up of gensets for the lower power range up to 700 kVA. The new 50-Hertz gensets are designed for operation in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. They are ideal, for example, for use as emergency power gensets in small to medium-size companies, in the telecommunications sector and as power supply sources for major events.
